Ashlee's speaking ministry began shortly after her accident in 1999. After taking some time off to start her family, her career was reborn when she was crowned Ms. Wheelchair USA in 2013. In 2015, Ashlee was awarded the Wyoming Trustee Award and is a hand-picked member of the national-traveling speaking team of Reneé Rongen and Associates. Her first book, Lessons From A Pitchfork, will be released later this year. Ashlee truly shines as a keynote speaker at outdoor industry and disability related events and conferences.

Since a paralyzing ranching accident, Ashlee has been passionate about accessible outdoor recreation. Ashlee is a founding member and current board member of Wyoming Disabled Hunters. She has served as Secretary and as the organization's Facebook page administrator. Ashlee enjoys camping, kayaking, hunting, fly fishing, handcycling, and many other outdoor activities.

Ashlee travels across the country sharing her inspiring story of overcoming adversity and realizing God's purpose for your life. She is passionate about her message of adaptability and perseverance, and she shows it when mentoring newly injured patients and their families who have experienced accidents similar to her own. Ashlee's wheelchair has not slowed her down- in fact, her adapted life is a lesson of how to live fully with a smile and a great sense of humor!
